At this years CEBIT exhibition, an austrian company demonstrated what they call "brain computer interface" techonology. Basically, you wear a hat on your yead, and whatever you think, the computer does. You can move objects, you can type letters, all by thinking of it!!
It works by measuring voltage fluctuations in your brain and translating them into computer commands.
Sounds like science fiction... But there are still some problem with the technology, for instance it requires some heavy training before it gets used to your brain fluctuations, you can only type letters not entire words, and it is a bit slow (maximum 18 letters / minute).
Nevertheless, who would have ever thought that this would have come this far? Amazing product... i can't wait to start doing all my work by thinking it... then again maybe i'll send an email telling somebody what i REALLy think about them :-p
