Well, it's official folks... PHP 4.4 is over. Yesterday was the 3rd birthday for PHP 5, and the PHP folks announced that by the end of this year, PHP 4.4 will stop getting any releases, fixes, and the lot, except for critical bug fixes... and those will be terminated by August 8th, 2008.
So, this means you need to freshen up on PHP 5, prepare for PHP 6, upgrade all your code that operates on 4 to be PHP 5 ready, and brace yourself. OR (and i think i'll be taking this option) change your entire career.... farming looks good !!!

I prefer PHP 5 because of all the new libraries and functions they added... php 4 should have been deprecated long time ago!
Amen to that sister... but now everybody will expend as much effort as to switch from php4 to 5, no thought of php6 would be wasted..
If only we, the techies, would get a say in what happens in the corporate world.. but alas!!
