This is the first Jordanian made 3D movie, and i must say it's very well done. A friend of mine (who is one of the 8 people who worked on this movie) sent me the link, and i just couldn't help but share it with you. Considering that this was done without the use of any render farms i am amazed at the quality of the movie. The story might be a bit glum for some people's taste, but it is a very good one to show the incredible lighting and animation effects.
Kudos to the team, and i bet that we will be hearing the name "Red Train in Room" real soon.

Pandora
If you're like me, can't work or concentrate unless you have some music pumping, then you're going to LOVE pandora.com. Simply go there, type the name of an artist or song you like, and they'll build a playlist for you to suit your style. It's amazing how good their choices are, and you can also rate the songs they play to refine it even more.
Finally, internet streaming music, MY WAY!!

Cyber War
The esteemed US government continues to show how much of a schizophrenic, deluded, autistic government it really is, and their latest fruit is that they are planning responses for potential cyber attacks on the US information infrastructure.
The plans range from responding with a cyber counterattack to a full scale real life bombing of the attack's source. Now, in theory, the idea is quite sound, you attack us, and we fight back. However in reality this doesn't work for many different reasons. For instance, an attack of that magnitude would require the use of botnets [wikipedia], which are distributed in nature. Simply having a computer that is connected to the internet is enough to make you a potential part of those botnet attacks. Also, with the way the internet works, it is extremely easy for anybody to fake their address making them appear as somebody else. I can very easily send packets with an IP address that represents YOUR machine. What happens if i own a botnet? and have them attack the US? and forge the attacks to have them appear as if they are coming from russia? Could somebody play the marionette as they see fit?

Exposure
The three most important words in real estate are: Location, Location, Location. In this digital age, it is all about exposure to market anything, EVEN YOURSELF.
Just imagine the power of being google'd by a prospective employer, to find a complete portfolio covering your information, work, and contact information. That's like a 24/7 available business card. Combine that with placing yourself "out there", using blogs, commenting on online posts, participating in mailing lists, creating your own web page, a MySpace account, and you are practically a walking (surfing?) advertisement.
Which brings us to the second important part, CONTENT. Nothing could be more damaging to you than having online presence, yet the quality of your content is so bad that it makes anybody change their mind even before getting to know you!!
I am reaping the benefits of good online presence, with (hopefully) good content, and i can tell you this: it is definitely worth it. Not just with prospective employers, but in all social and professional areas. Friends, colleagues, acquaintances all are getting a positive image and this reflects on ALL dealings. *wink*
